In addition to hiking, you can rent a mountain bike to explore the trails on two wheels or even rent a canoe to see the foliage from a new perspective on the water. You'll also find special events and programs throughout the fall here.

  • Fort Dickerson Park – 550 Augusta Ave., Knoxville, TN 37920
Whether you bring your canoe/kayak to see the scenery from the water or grab your hiking boots to navigate the trails, Fort Dickerson Park is sure to offer some of the best views in Knoxville. That's thanks in part to Augusta Quarry, which is located within the park and provides amazing waterfront views while reflecting the colors of the foliage all around the water. There are four miles of multi-use trails here to explore, along with two shelters perfect for a fall picnic.

It's about 45 minutes from Knoxville, but well worth the drive.

  • Downtown Knoxville – Downtown Knoxville, TN
